K.S. Parag Managing DirectorX
Parag is the Co-founder and MD of FVC. In a career spanning over two decades, Parag has been involved in sales and business development and instrumental in shaping the region’s communications landscape through FVC and his past roles.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Parag spent a decade in senior sales and business development roles at Agrinde Technologies, Zahra Technology and Globalnet. In 1992, during his stint with Highness Network System, a regional systems integrator, he helped implement the region’s first video conferencing solution, with support from the UAE’s incumbent telco, Etisalat. Parag credits this pioneering project for the foresight that led to the creation of FVC, eight years later. He later moved into video conferencing and collaboration, working with the local partner for PictureTel across the UAE, Oman & Qatar.
In 2000, he co-founded FVC with Bruce Withington as a new generation Value Added Distributor (VAD), taking a radical service approach driven by innovation.
In addition to driving FVC’s vision forward, Parag mentors young entrepreneurs in his role as the President for TiE Dubai Chapter. TiE was founded in Silicon Valley over 25 years ago as a non-profit body to foster entrepreneurship, and today has 65 chapters and 13,000 members worldwide.
Bruce Withington Executive DirectorX
One of the founders of FVC, Bruce frequently branches out from his London base across the FVC market territories, either in person or via video. Bruce brings over 40 years of IT experience to the company, having started his career at IBM Research Labs in the UK in the late 1970s.
After spending several years in the oil industry on exploration rigs across EMEA, Bruce joined IT distributor Northamber before moving on to British Telecom, where he ran the product management Team for LANs and WANs. He was a frequent traveler to Silicon Valley, and responsible for introducing Cisco to the BT portfolio in the early 1990s.
Bruce holds a BSc in Applied Physics and Electronics from Durham University.
Founded in 2000, FVC is one of the leading Value Added Distributors (VAD) across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) regions, with three dedicated offices in United Arab Emirates, plus others in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kenya, Morocco and the UK. It also has an on-the-ground presence in 17 countries region-wide, through an expanding network of more than 500 channel partners, offering an extensive portfolio of industry-leading solutions.
