FVC signs agreement at Gitex to exclusively distribute Ashton Bentley solutions in Middle East
FVC, a leading Value Added Distributor (VAD) in the Middle East & Africa (MEA), has today signed an agreement as the exclusive distributor for the Middle East by Ashton Bentley, a UK manufacturer of Video Conference, Telepresence and Presentation environments. As part of their appointment, FVC will work with Ashton Bentley on all their existing projects in UAE and Oman, while working to build the other markets, especially in the GCC. FVC will show Ashton Bentley’s Boardroom solutions in the Middle East for the first time at Gitex this week on Stand Z-G10 in Zabeel Hall.
Under the agreement, FVC will add Ashton Bentley products into its Executive Briefing centres in Dubai and Riyadh as well as educate the reseller channel and the corporate end users about these systems. Plans are being discussed for the roll out of ‘mobile’ demonstration units that will enable on-site customer evaluation.
K.S. Parag, Managing Director for FVC, said, “With FVC's strength of our existing line-up, we are looking to enhance the overall customer experience where our video conference offerings can now be enhanced with superb displays, audio and control by integration with an Ashton Bentley system. The line-up of solutions offered by Ashton Bentley fits well with our portfolio and we are quite keen to share this development with our partners and customers.”
Tony Leedham, Director of Business Development for Ashton Bentley, stated “We are delighted to partner with FVC to bring our solutions to the region. We have spent considerable resources to ensure that video conferencing technology is maximised when integrated into our room environments, so working alongside one of best channel development companies is very exciting.”
There is tremendous opportunity in the region as collaboration and communication develops to aid business. PwC’s 2014 Global CEO Survey reports that 78% of Middle East CEOs plan mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, or strategic alliances across the wider region. These require regular face to face meetings for delicate negotiations. The latest video collaboration solutions enable Middle East businesses to effectively and affordably communicate face-to-face across different locations and devices.
